Explore the unexplored- Wayanad

This section is to introduce you to some unique cooooooooooool places you would love to visit on a holiday, places guaranteed to take you to an altogether different world, to the heaven called the Earth!!! Welcome to this very interesting section on places that are so pleasant and blissful, yet left relatively unexplored. My sincere efforts are only to make you familiar to such places, places which please your senses, places promised to take you on an enchanting tour of the greenary covered mountains, deep blue rivers and all that will make your holiday a perfect one!!!
This week, let me introduce you to WAYANAD.The waterfalls, mist covered valleys, spice plantations and wildlife sanctuaries entice you to make a trip to Kerala. With a lot of potential for adventure tourism like water rafting, mountaineering and rock climbing, this place is truly awesome!!!
The name WAYANAD has been derived from the expression "VAYAL NADU"-the village of paddy fields. Its a spice zone and almost every crop like coffee, black pepper, ginger, turmeric, cocoa, arecanut, tea ,rubber, vanilla etc..
         Location: 60KMS east of KOZHIKODE at an altitude ranging between 700-1200 met.
         Nearest Rail head: Kozhikode
         Trains: Trains like Mangala Express, Nethravati Express, garib Rath link it to Mumbai while trains like Rajdhani Express, Kerala Sampark kranti Express link it toDelhi and Marusagar express links it to Jaipur.
